Blue Cross Animal Hospital CEP Test: Collection & Submission

Collection
Collect sufficient blood to fill 2 heparnized capillary tubes. Plug one end. Identify each sample in the shipment. Whole blood or serum samples in vacutainer tubes are also acceptable and would require a container. For shipments of multiple samples make sure that each sample is:

Identified separately (Please DO NOT place labels directly on capillary tubes).
Attached to a piece of cardboard or other sturdy material.
Packaged to prevent breakage in transit.
Please text(preferred) or call clinic at (208) 431-1951 to let them know you are shipping samples.

Shipment

Package samples so that they are not crushed in shipment. We recommend UPS or FedEx Next Day service from most areas, but other overnight services are acceptable.
Send the sample(s) to the following address:

Be sure to include your clinic name, address, phone and fax numbers in the package as well as the name of a contact person.

Payment
Enclose with each shipment a check, money order or credit card information (cardholder name, card number and expiration date). The charge for each sample is $10.00.

Results
Normally, results are available within 5 business days after receipt of the sample(s). You can call for the results, wait for them in the mail, or if you request it in the shipment, we can fax you the results.
